Tefo John Mxakaza – Finance Department

Meet HFHSA’s newest family member!

“I’m a fourth child at home and I grew up in a Christian and structured family with a lot of discipline. Then, I thought my parents were unreasonably strict but later on in life, I went back to thank them for instilling such life’s principles in me which I’m also passing on to my own kids. I pursued a career in Finance and Business Management because I’m fascinated about how macro and micro economics work.

I’m passionate about figures and people, although I’m naturally a very quiet and reserved person.

I feel very connected with Habitat for Humanity’s mission and core values – I like the transformational development approach of the organisation, as it is very unique in that it brings people together from all walks of life. It transforms people’s lives holistically and ultimately realises the outcomes it sets to achieve. This is very fulfilling for me and it drives me to wake up every day.

I like nature and travelling. I like to explore new things as well. I enjoy keeping myself busy as remaining idle affects me negatively.”

We are so blessed to have you on our team, Tefo! We pray that your time here is one of much joy and growth.
